Story: Stone knives were an essential tool for Aboriginal people. In the old days they were mainly scrapper tools used to make other tools as well as cleaning down skins of animals. Often there was a quarry where stones were collected and shaped. Spinfex resin or was used to fashion a handle. They were sharpened by striking the edge in a vertical way to create a somewhat serrated cutting or scrapping edge.
